As we celebrate Independents Month, we also celebrate us. We are AMIBA! We build economic opportunity, local character, and community.
The American Independent Business Alliance virtually gathered our Advisory Council to explore why AMIBA should continue to exist and how we could find the financial resources to survive and thrive over the next decade.
Why Should AMIBA Exist?
In addition to sharing resources, ideas, and best practices, AMIBA builds relationships between all of you. You have people to contact to help you celebrate successes and overcome obstacles.
“The interactions we have with one another, the support we have for one another, is one of the few ways we can establish that we are actually not insane and doing the right thing,” said Local Economist Michael Shuman. “I feel like there is this coming conclusion around the world that Localization is the solution. And I feel there’s a real calling for us (AMIBA) to deliver on that.”
How Can AMIBA Thrive?
In the fall of 2022, AMIBA made an organizational and mission transformation that has produced exceptional results. We offer a simplified and achievable set of programs that move our mission forward in a unique and effective way. While we are on our way to thriving, we are struggling financially right now to survive. AMIBA needs a relatively small amount of money to bridge our journey from surviving to thriving.
We invite you to help us get there:
- If you’re not already, please become an AMIBA member (Business memberships cost just $50 a year).
- Pledge to sponsor our Shop Indie Local Holiday campaign.
- Make a donation to AMIBA today.
