The Local Leaders Roundtable met on April 14 for a great presentation by Amanda Kaye and Colleen Conley, co-founders of ckSYNERGY. ckSYNERGY is the firm leading AMIBA in our own strategic plan. They led us through a discussion of needs and expectations of strategic planning including a quick assessment for everyone on the call. Quite an accomplishment in less than an hour!
We were led through a series of exercises that helped reveal not just our strengths and weaknesses but how they integrate with our programs and mission. We had great discussions on adapting to remain relevant and responsive, and how important it is for our organizations to embrace change.
We were led through an exercise that created our “Table” showing the four legs that support our programs and mission. The four legs of the table represent Management (people), Governance (the board), Business Model (money) and Administrative Systems. Without four even legs, the table tilts, not supporting the mission.
