Let’s enrich the soil to promote this year’s Eat Local campaign — a celebration of local food, farmers, and producers. We plan to celebrate during the months of August and September. However, we welcome you to promote this campaign whenever it works best for you and your community.

We know that a strong local food system keeps our communities vibrant, our economy growing, and our landscapes healthy. When we buy and eat local food, the benefits ripple throughout the community. These ripples help food producers, fishermen, and small businesses thrive.

Therefore, we want to empower you to inspire your community to eat more locally grown, raised, and made foods. Help them meet the farmers, growers, and chefs behind their food and learn new skills that keep more of us eating locally throughout the year.

This Eat Local Campaign is part of AMIBA’s Shop Indie Local Initiative.

Eat Local MA, managed by Sustainable Business Network of MA, encourages individuals and restaurants to utilize locally grown food in the meals they make and eat.

NH Eats Local began in 2006 as a campaign in one part of New Hampshire and grew into a statewide initiative managed by NH Food Alliance.

Shop Indie Local

We envision a new and exciting year-round role for Shop Indie Local. Our plan is to offer imaginative and innovative ways to support locally owned and independent businesses of all types and in all regions in our nation. Best of all, we’ll build on the momentum we’ve cultivated each November – December since 2010 and elevate Shop Indie Local into a year-round movement.

Please Stay Connected

As we refine and roll out our plans, we’ll share them with you via regular e-newsletters, our Shop Indie Local webpage, and social media.
