Throughout 2026, we’re reflecting on the last quarter-century of the American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA) and building a vision for the next 25 years.
At our last AMIBA board meeting, we drafted a framework for A Declaration for Independent Businesses. While we will continue to revise this declaration, we want to share this draft opening with you:
We believe that strong local economies are the essential building blocks of a better world. We refuse to despair about what’s gone wrong with our world and instead are committed to strengthening a national and global local economy movement.
