Learn how Cambridge Local First (CLF) leverages interns to boost organizational capacity and nurture future Local Economy leaders.

Each season, CLF works with a cohort of highly motivated, self-directed interns to work on public policy and advocacy, business assistance, and public education projects.

This program was initiated during the COVID-19 pandemic to engage students who had other internship and work experiences abruptly canceled.  Since then, the internship has become a regular opportunity to educate future leaders and decision-makers on the benefits of local businesses and the nature of the local business ecosystem.  This remote internship experience offers a unique opportunity to engage with students across the nation (and even the world).
