An AMIBA conference is different. It's likely to be the most interactive conference you've attended. Learn from and participate in discussions and panels with Localization Movement leaders involved in community campaigns, organizations or government bodies like yours across the continent. You'll learn what's been tried, what works...and what doesn't. You'll share stories, gain concrete ideas, and head home ready to get started or improve your impact and take your organizational to a new level.
- Learn how to organize a successful IBA or "buy local" campaign in your community or get the latest ideas to ramp up the power of your existing campaign.
- Enjoy fantastic food! Social events include Havana Night -- our pre-conference poolside social featuring locally-crafted beer, authentic Cuban cuisine and cigar rolling. We'll dine Friday night at Tampa's finest restaurant, TIBA member Mise en Place. All included in your fee!
- Focus on learning, meeting new people, and enjoying yourself -- not the details. In addition to delivering great value at a modest cost, we've minimized your out-of-pocket expenses (expenses not covered: alcoholic beverages at Friday dinner, Saturday dinner. Conference meals conclude with Sunday breakfast)

Our conference home is the beautiful Quorum Hotel in Tampa. This independent hotel provides a free airport and local shuttle, outdoor pool, fitness center, courtesy business center and free internet access in business center and lobby. The management is committed to green business practices and is working with us to source most of our food and beverage locally.
The cost of $99 per room/night includes all transportation and lodging taxes. We'll gladly facilitate room-sharing for those interested.

Timing
The pre-conference social event commences at 6:30 pm Thursday evening. Official Sunday events conclude at noon. A full conference schedule will be posted shortly.Airlines
